But it would save however many lives. And after so many cases that we won–the trial lawyers, that is–those kind of safety measures are implemented.
The reason our firm takes on those kind of cases is because ultimately, people have an injury. Sometimes a serious injury as a result of a car crash, and it changes their life. And they find themselves dealing with an insurance company, an insurance adjuster. Before you know it, they’ve been offered some form of money before they’ve really figured out how this crash has affected them.
When we get that kind of case in, we get out of our office, and we go to the scene, where it occurred. And it’s amazing what one can learn when visiting the scene. The science and art of accident reconstruction our firm has been involved in…that science and art since it became recognized as one. So we work with crash reconstructionists to recreate the accident.
But there’s a bigger picture, and that is we’re forcing industries to make their products safer because there is the threat of litigation that will hold them accountable if they start making decisions that put profits over people’s safety. And we feel at this firm that one of the forces in this country that prevents that from spiraling out of control are lawsuits and trial lawyers and brave clients who are willing to try to hold those people accountable.
