How long have you been with Spangenberg?
In total, I have been with the firm for nearly 22 years. I started in October 1998 and worked until May 2015, when I chose to work elsewhere part-time and spend more time at home with my kids. I returned to Spangenberg in September 2020.
What do you enjoy most about your role? How do you contribute to Spangenberg’s larger goals?
I love the variety my work brings – the facts and circumstances of cases are never the same. Each day brings something new! I value the opportunity to get to know our clients and to assist them during what may be some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself or a personal interest you enjoy outside of work.
My husband Craig and I have two adult children – our daughter, who’s a junior in college, and our son, who’s a second-year law student.
My husband and I enjoy cycling and completed the 30-mile Bike Cleveland Fundo ride through the city. In the summer, you can often find us cycling in local metro parks and enjoying the magnificent views of Cleveland. We love trying restaurants in Cleveland’s vibrant food scene and enjoy hiking and exploring nature. We plan to eventually visit all the national parks.
I love working out and am about 15 classes away from hitting my 750-class milestone at my gym! I’m really excited and proud of myself for accomplishing this goal; then it’s onward and upward to 1,000 classes!
I love antique stores and collect antique Roseville Pottery and Wallace Nutting nature scape portrait watercolors. I also love attending art festivals, cooking and baking, watching and photographing the birds that visit my backyard, and playing Mahjong with a group of friends.
My husband and I are members of the Cleveland Play House. We enjoy theater and try to make it to New York City at least once a year to see a Broadway show.
Most people don’t notice, but my eyes are two different colors – one is brown, and one is green.
What are three words you would use to describe your experience working at the firm?
Three words I would use to describe my experience working at the firm are rewarding, demanding, and family. The work we as a team accomplish for our clients is demanding, but the results are very rewarding. The Spangenberg team feels like family in many ways. I genuinely enjoy spending time with the people I’m surrounded by.
