Stuart E. Scott joined the Spangenberg firm in 1995 and was named as a partner in 2005. Stuart has successfully tried and settled a variety of cases involving car, truck and boating accidents, medical and accounting malpractice; and dangerous property and products including defective automobiles, household products and drugs, and insurance coverage issues. Stuart is also active in litigation on behalf of consumers who have been victim to deceptive or unfair business practices. He is currently handling the firm's ADT State Industries and other consumer class action cases as well as pharmaceutical litigation involving the drugs, Vioxx®, Bextra® and Yaz/Yasmin® among others. The publishers of Law & Politics® magazine have named Stuart Scott one of Ohio's "Super Lawyers."

One of Stuart's career highlights was trying a major wrongful death trucking accident case with Spangenberg partner Peter Weinberger in Federal District Court in Columbus. The jury awarded over 2.7 million dollars to the family of the decedent in that case. Stuart has handled cases throughout Ohio in both state and federal courts. He has successfully argued a number of appeals in most of Ohio's Courts of Appeals. Stuart is active in several legal organizations including serving as a board member for the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys and the Ohio Association for Justice.

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Stuart was raised in Columbus, Ohio and attended high school at Upper Arlington. He then attended Ball State University where he obtained a B.S. degree in Finance. While at Ball State, Stuart played intercollegiate baseball, earning 4 letters and Academic All-American Honors. Upon graduation, he spent one year playing minor league baseball within the Cleveland Indians organization. Stuart graduated law school in 1995 with Order of the Coif Honors from The Ohio State College of Law, an honor bestowed on law students who graduate in the top 10% of their class.
