Melissa Z. Kelly joined the Spangenberg firm as an associate attorney in 2009. She graduated cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law where she was a member of the moot court competition team, as well as the Appellate Review Office and Legal Clinic. Melissa earned a B.A. from New York University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, an academic honor society with the mission of fostering and recognizing excellence, and graduated magna cum laude with honors in English and a minor in American history. Melissa was born in Barberton, Ohio and graduated from Barberton High School in 1995.

Prior to joining the Spangenberg firm, Melissa worked as a staff attorney law clerk in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Peter W. Hall, Circuit Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Melissa is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
