Defective Drugs, Defective Medical Devices, and Defective
Consumer Products

Often, consumers rely on brand names that they trust, or look for the approval of the federal regulatory agencies like the Food and Drug Administration to assure them that what they purchase is safe for consumption or fit for a particular need. Too often, defective products and defective medications cause financial injury, physical injury, and even death.

In these instances, Spangenberg, Shibley & Liber has stepped forward to represent injured consumers and to hold corporate wrongdoers accountable for their products. Our involvement in cases like these dates back to representing mothers and children affected by the morning sickness drug called Thalidomide, which caused thousands of otherwise healthy children to be born with severe birth defects. Our firm has also handled cases involving DES, a miscarriage prevention drug; defective breast implants; Medtronic and Telectronic pacemakers; Sulzer hip and knee implants; Fen-Phen diet drugs; and Albuterol asthma medication, which was recalled due to contamination. Our firm has also successfully litigated cases against manufacturers of dangerous infant seats, playpens and infant bathtub rings, defective ladders, uncrashworthy automobiles, and many other products.
