The connection and motivation which drive me, and I think the other lawyers in this firm, is a human one. These are people in our community who are coming to us with incredible problems.

My area of practice within the firm is probably the most diverse. The one common thread is it almost always involves somebody whose rights have been violated, who’s been injured at the hands of another. These clients have one opportunity, in our business. They get one shot. They have their one day in court. What’s driven me is just the responsibility I have to the client and their cause. You feel that in your core, that when you open your mouth to speak, you’re representing this person who has full blind faith and trust in you. So you really have to put so much preparation into it to make sure that your clients’ one day in court. You’re giving them the best opportunity they have to obtain justice.
